20th Century Boys rocking for Twice Upon a Time.
On March 28th, 2017, the 20th Century Boys held a Fundraising event for Twice Upon a Time – Free Books for Kids - at Mother McGuinty's in downtown Ottawa. There was a fantastic turn out which included many devoted fans of this Ottawa based rock band and many supporters and volunteers from Twice Upon a Time. It was a great night of music and dancing!
The 20th Century Boys have been making music and raising funds for local charities since 2006. Since then the band has helped to raise hundreds of thousands of dollars for charities like Ottawa Cancer Foundation, Ottawa Food Band, the SnowSuit Fund, and the Shine Music Foundation. In 2015, Twice Upon a Time was only one year old when our fledgling organization received a big boost from the 20th Century Boys who raised $1775 for our cause. We were delighted to be invited back last month - this time the Boys raised $2104 to help make it possible for families in Ottawa to own quality children's books.
Twice Upon a Time would like to send out a most sincere thank you to the 20th Century Boys for their support and for the positive impact they are having on communities in Ottawa. We’d also like to thank all those who continue to support Twice Upon a Time.
Twice Upon a Time – Free Books for Ottawa Kids - promotes early literacy skills and fosters a love of reading through the joys of book ownership.
