Twice Upon a Time/Il était deux fois is pleased to announce that we have been successful in our application to become a Canadian registered charity with the Canada Revenue Agency. The associated Business Registration number is 803095777RR0001. This comes just in time for our 2nd anniversary of opening our first Pop-Up location at Heartwood House. This means that all financial donations over $15.00 are eligible to receive a charitable tax receipt.In addition, to make giving as easy as possible, Twice Upon a Time has joined 16,000 other registered Canadian charities and become a member of CanadaHelps.Org. CanadaHelps is a Canadian non-profit organization serving Canadian charities and donors. They makes it easy and completely secure to donate online to Twice Upon a Time. Supporters can donate one-time or monthly, dedicate a donation, send a message to us etc. A tax receipt is emailed to the donor immediately (within minutes) and the donation is then delivered to Twice Upon a Time electronically. There is even a way to donate securities and mutual funds.
Since opening on May 24th 2014 at Heartwood House, we have expanded to include pop-ups and visits to Boys and Girls Club of Ottawa at the Don McGahan Clubhouse, the Housing Support Office at the Taggart Family Y, Ottawa Community Housing at the Confederation Court Community House and Overbrook Community Centre. We have also distributed children’s books to families through the Vanier Children’s Services, the Children’s Aid Society and Habitat for Humanity.
